Paris Olympics three-person basketball qualifying tournament to be held in Hong Kong in April
The first leg of the Paris Olympics three-person basketball qualifying tournament will be held in Hong Kong from April 12 to 14. The top-ranked men's and women's teams will directly qualify for the Olympics, and both men's and women's teams from Hong Kong, China will participate.
The organizing committee introduced at a press conference that day that the competition will be held in Victoria Park, with eight men's and eight women's teams participating. The participating teams in the men's group include: the Netherlands, Mongolia, Latvia, Austria, Switzerland, Egypt, New Zealand and Hong Kong. The participating teams in the women's group are: Hungary, the Netherlands, Azerbaijan, Poland, Egypt, Mongolia, Chile and Hong Kong, China.
This is the first time in the history of Hong Kong that a three-person basketball Olympic qualifying tournament has been held. Vice Chairman of the Hong Kong Olympic Committee, Bei Junqi, said that this is the best chance for Hong Kong, China, three-person basketball players to qualify for the Olympics. He hopes that citizens can go to the scene to support support.

There are eight men's and eight women's teams participating in the three-person basketball event of the Paris Olympic Games. The ones that have already qualified are: the men's Serbian team, the United States team and the Chinese team; the women's Chinese team, the United States team and the French team. The other two qualifying rounds will be held in Utsunomiya, Japan and Debrecen, Hungary.
